Inspired by my love of cables and a charming village near my hometown. This was a design that had been waiting in my sketchbook for the perfect moment.

Pickwick is knit from the top down with short rows shaping at the back neckline and a raglan sleeve construction. The body is knit in stockinette stitch to the hem where you will finish with a rib and cable pattern. During construction the sleeves are placed on hold to return to later. When back to the sleeves, it's stockinette and an elegant cable and rib finale. The final fit has some positive ease and it rests at or just below your waistband.

This is a great project for daring beginners to advanced knitters looking to expand their timeless handmade wardrobe.

Much gratitude to Miss Babs Yarn for providing yarn support for this design.

    About Pickwick

Pickwick is small quiet & tranquil village in Minnesota best known for its mill that stands today in its original form. Built from 1856-1858, it still runs but not operational for commerce.

The churning of the water is reflected in the cable and ribbing detail of this design.
